North
India outbound activity was an unforgettable journey. Journey started with full enthusiasm and
excitement on 6th December. 10 days journey makes us enjoy like 1
month. We covered 8 places in 10 days of journey i.e Agra, Mathura, Shimla, Kufri,
Rohtang Pass, Amritsar, Wagah Border and Delhi.
Agra is one of the major tourist destination because of its
many Mughal-era buildings, most important the Taj
Mahal, Agra
Fort and Fatehpur
Sikri, all of which are also UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Every visit gave us new experience and new learning. Inspite of guides, faculty
also guided us, especially the guidance on Anguri Bagh in Agra Fort by Prof.
Praneetha and Prof. SRP was made us enjoy the whole Agra Fort. Our visit to
Agra was full of historical knowledge and enjoyment with lot of photography.
From Agra we visited Mathura (birth place of Lord Krishna), Mathura is a birthplace of Krishna, which is located at the Krishna Janmasthan
Temple Complex. It is one of
the SaptaPuri( Ayodhya, Mathura,Haridwar,Varanasi,Kanchipuram , Ujjain and Dwarka the seven cities considered holy by Hindus. We visited
to Kesav dev temple, . Mathura was the
capital of the kingdom of Surasena, ruled by Kansa, the maternal uncle
of Krishna.
We completed Agra and Mathura visit on 7th and 8th
.
On 9th we reached Manali, there everyone did water
rafting (one of the best experience). We also did camp fire. And from there
started the actual feel of cold. On 10th morning we reached Shimla
we went to kufri, the actual adventure started from there. I remember the horse
racing by Prof. Praneetha, Pof. Prasad and Mr. Prapul.. at last prof. Praneetha
Romeo won and dhanno lost!!
Few decided to go for shopping and other side scenes but few
went for adventure and the day ended with lot of fun and moreover the coolness
of the place forced us to wear 4-5 clothes and still everyone was shivering…as
well thinking what will happen to Rohtang where temperature was -6.
Everyone busy in checking the temperature reached kullu
hotel. That morning when we wake up had our bf came out with full excitement to
go for Rohtang Pass. The moment we came out it was full of snowfall…
We enjoyed a lot with iceee games.
The Rohtang Pass is the same road, which connects to Leh Ladakh (State of Jammu
& Kashmir) from Manali. It spot more than 25 lakh visitors every year,
however, the routes here are completely covered in snow in winter and hardly
anyone visit this place during the snowfall. Rohtang Pass- a gateway to Lahaul
and Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh, remains one of the most spectacular
destinations in the entire Kullu region. This picturesque pass is located
around 51 kms away from Manali, at a height of 3980 meters, on Manali Keylong
highway. This mountain slope is so beautiful that people from every corner of
the country visit this place to take part in adventure sports such as skiing,
ice-skating, paragliding, etc.
From Rohtang,
next day we started for Amritsar. And the most suprising thing was Director’s
visit. The trip became more interesting when director sir joined for Amritsar
visit. We all went to Golden Temple and Jalliawaala Bagh. We also attended
Langar in Golden Temple. We did lot of shopping there. From there everyone was excited
for the evening, as it was most exciting visit “Wagah Border”. After wagah
border, next day afternoon we started for chandigarh. By night we reached
chandigarh and we did lot of shopping. And by morning we reached Delhi, yeah it
was shopping time and then we boarded the train.
An unforgettable, loving trip..!!
