FOLLOW YOUR PASSION NOT PROFFESION
Have you ever
noticed that highly effective people almost always say they love what they do?
If you ask them about their good career fortune, they’re likely to advise that
you have to love what you do in order to perform at a high level of
effectiveness.
All you people studying in
reputed colleges, waiting to come out with golden degrees and getting recruited
in Fortune 500 companies just because everyone else do, truth is, at the end
you will be wasting away in a cubicle working more hours than you sleep every day.
Your CEO will not know that you exist. Your family will hardly get to see your
face. The life in you will be slowly withering away. You think you going to do
it for money because you need it but after spending it on your payments, you
hardly have a penny for a party to de-stress.
You smile all the time, but
its mechanical. Because you are taught something called "Business Etiquette"
which makes this ridiculous grin stay permanently etched on your face. This is
also not bad but if you are really interested in this field. You can achieve
highest growth, name, fame everything in your life but it's totally depend on
how much you are interested, how much you are passionate regarding this.
People around you say they are
proud of you. You start thinking that maybe they are right. You forget what
your heart really wants. You forget you were capable of dreaming yourself. You
forget that it is someone else's dream and expectations you are living up to.
You don't realize that in pleasing everyone, in keeping other people happy, you
forgot to live your own life.
You read my article and you
know that maybe I make sense, but you push it out of your head. You know that a
thousand people live like this and they are completely happy!
But maybe, just maybe, that's
because they do not realize how much they have lost until it's too late.
It's not a failure when you
keep failing in every step you take towards achieving your goal. It's failure
only when you haven't even tried to achieve what you wanted and tried to go the
safe way that people recommended, in turn killing your happiness. The saddest
part of it all? You don't even realize how you are failing! If you
really enjoy what you do, nothing can stop you
or can obstruct you from achieving greatness. If you really want to do
something, do it with passion ,it will be more productive and effective with
inner satisfaction.
"Do whatever you want,
not what others wanted to see you."
